Ground hog

The ground hog has always taken advantage of human activity. It lives in a burrow dug on a hillside or on flat, well-drained land. Its hiding place consists of 2 to 5 entrances connected to various chambers by a network of tunnels.

Damages and indications

Groundhogs can damage fruit and ornamental trees by nibbling their bark. It is also possible to observe a drying of the roots under the fruit or ornamental trees.

Some damages to farming equipment may require to raise the cut, resulting in harvest lost
